This beautiful warm-weather yarn is a blend of Cestari's Virginia-grown cotton and Natural White Traditional Wool, a Targhee-Columbia blend that was developed on the Cestari farm in the rolling hills of Virginia. We love it for children's garments and blankets (it's so soft!), as well as warm-weather garments and accessories. The cotton has a lovely drape, and the addition of wool provides structure to help your final product retain its original shape.
Cestari Sheep and Wool Co. is a small family-owned and operated American manufacturer of knitting and crocheting yarn that prides itself on preserving and promoting US-made wool and cotton goods. Their cotton products are grown and processed exclusively in Virginia. Their wool is sourced from their own sheep -- which they raise on a farm in Augusta County, Virginia -- as well as from reputable ranchers throughout the United States. All of their sheep & wool products are grown and processed in the US.

Care: Hand or machine wash on gentle cycle, lay flat to dry. Do not dry clean as this removes the natural lanolin oils in the wool.
A percentage of the natural lanolin has been deliberately retained in this yarn, to help protect the wool and act somewhat as a water repellent for the garment.
