General Class Policies

Have a class idea? Let us know! Our doors are open to all crafters. We offer a safe, relaxing (often irreverent!) environment, where you leave your stress at the door.

Registration
Register online, in person, or via phone (860) 619-0042. Class size is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Full payment is required to reserve your space.

Class materials
You will receive a confirmation email with details on class requirements. Unless otherwise noted, materials are not included and must be purchased from Stars Hollow Yarns (no stash yarn, please!). We offer registered students 10% off class materials.* 

Class Etiquette
Have all supplies ready. Please allow at least 24 hours for yarn to be wound. Respect your instructor and classmates – be prepared and ready to go at the scheduled class time.

Cancellations**
All classes and events are non-refundable. Participants may assign their spot to someone else (ask if we have a waitlist) or attend class via Zoom, at the instructor's discretion. Let us know of any changes, so we know whom to expect.

If a class is canceled due to illness, weather, or other unforeseen events, it will be rescheduled.*** At least 3 students (or 50% capacity, whichever is greater) are needed to hold a class; if a class does not meet the minimum requirements, we will offer either a full refund (to original form of payment), class credit, or you may take the class at the teacher's private rate.  

* In the event that you've purchased your yarn at full price prior to class, the 10% discount may be deducted from your registration fee at the manager's discretion. Discounts may not be combined and do not apply to sale items, new gift cards, stitch circles, or KALs, unless otherwise noted. 

** If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, have symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), or are unable to wear a face mask for any reason, please let us know ASAP and do not come to your class session. If resources permit, we will arrange a makeup session or Zoom tutorial to catch you up on what you missed.

*** We follow the schedule set by CT Region 12 (Washington, Bridgewater, Roxbury) and New Milford schools. Our first concern is the safety of our community. If Region 12 / New Milford schools are closed or delayed, we typically will close (or delay opening) as well.
